Hall County Arrest History
Hall County Sheriff's Office deputies, Gainesville Police, Flowery Branch Police, Oakwood Police, Georgia State Patrol, and campus agencies may create arrest records. If a person enters county custody, Hall County Jail creates a separate booking entry at 1700 Barber Road. Shared detention does not transfer a city or state agency's incident report to the Sheriff.

A booking can appear before prosecutors file a charge, and a jail listing may disappear after release while the agency report remains.

Requesting the Hall County Arrest Narrative

Hall County Bond Is Handled at the Jail
Hall County accepts bond only after booking and identification are complete. The Sheriff warns that jail and Pretrial Services personnel do not solicit bond payments by telephone. In 2025, callers impersonated officials and demanded Apple Pay, Venmo, Cash App, or similar transfers from families of recent detainees.

Hall County Warrants and Arrest Workload
The Hall County Jail Bureau reports that its warrant operation serves about 600 arrest warrants per month. That number measures warrant workload, not arrests or bookings. One warrant may not equal one new jail entry, and the statistic should never be treated as a monthly arrest count.

Arrests Are Not Convictions
A Hall County arrest shows that an agency accused and detained or cited a person. A conviction requires a court judgment. Prosecutors may decline a charge, file a different count, dismiss it, or resolve it through another lawful outcome. A dismissal does not automatically erase the local arrest report or booking artifact. Georgia calls its relief process record restriction.
